We begin today in the United States, where lost youngsters of Sudan have ended their tortuous journey. Many of the young men survived the Sudanese refugee camps and the war, but when their situation became desperate, something had to be done. Bethany Christian Services' Dona Abbott explains what action they're taking. "There are boys between the ages of 15 and 18. For the younger boys in that group, we would place them in foster homes. For the older youth, we'd be looking for independent living homes, friendship, guidance, [and] orientation to the community." Abbott says Bethany is recruiting foster families to provide these young men with a home and a new start. "The majority of these young men are already Christian. We certainly can introduce them to a church community, and other Christians in the area, so that they feel support in their faith. It may be the first time in a long time that they have felt that kind of Christian compassion."
