The World Evangelical Fellowship is protesting a threat to tolerance and freedom of religion in France. The French National Assembly passed a bill, which is the latest in a series of measures addressing cults. WEF says that means power is given to the State to dissolve religious groups and impose sentences of up to 5 years and large fines. The bill, which now awaits Senate approval, has created a 'blacklist' of various groups, including evangelicals.
