South Africa (MNN) ― The Book of Hope Granny Brigade will be heading out for two more trips to South Africa in the Spring of 2008 (April 17-28 and May 1-12).

These grandmothers are a faithful and dedicated group of women who commit to pray or join a team to distribute the Book of Hope and spend time visiting and sharing the love of Christ with orphans in need.

During past trips, these women took with them the Book of Hope, an illustrated story of Christ written especially for kids. With each book distributed, the children also got a Hope bracelet--a reminder of Jesus' love for them.

The Granny Brigade takes the time to rock the babies, give them attention and simply be grandmothers. Many of the children are being raised by their older siblings and lack love and attention. The team of women simply went to share their love with orphans and bring the Gospel message.

The one-on-one interaction is life-changing on both sides as the women act as the living Gospel with these children.

The trip cost is $3,040 and includes international flight to and from Dulles and Johannesburg, South Africa, lodging, ground transportation, and three meals per day. The deadline for the first deposit is October 15, 2007. Click here for more details.
