Government officials in the former Soviet Union are supporting missionary effort to help orphans and street children. Russian Ministries' George Law says 10-percent of the 15-year-olds forced out of orphanages commit suicide, while six in 10 end up in prison. Law says that's why they're starting the "My Father's House" project. "It's a pilot project in Russia and the Ukraine. To see what true family life is. To see what true Christianity is like, up close. And, to give them a vocation so that when they leave they can provide for themselves and ultimately for their own families." According to Law, it will cost 75-dollars a month per child. He says this program could also recruit new missionaries. "We definitely need missionaries. And, one of the things that we're looking at is evangelizing young people and children who are at risk. And, then secondly, some of those, we hope to train and send out as missionaries perhaps four, five or six years from now."
