More than 140-thousand people heard the Gospel in the United States as part of Portland Festival 2000. The Oregon event was sponsored by the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association. 55-thousand heard the Gospel on Friday night, while another 85-thousand listened on Saturday. According to Palau officials more than one-thousand people gave their hearts to Christ, however that number is expected to rise as they receive new decision cards each day. Pray that these new believers will grow in their faith and join Bible believing churches.
