During the mission simulation in North Carolina, students sleep in primitive housing and hammocks, and cook on mud stoves. Overseas missionaries share their experiences, and students also learn about Bible translation. A tour of the JAARS Center is included in the program, as well as demonstrations and visits to the JAARS museums. One of the week's highlights includes a five-hour mission experience called, "The Journey."
Pray that God would provide adequate personnel for JJO and that students would be challenged with future mission involvement.
