Posted: 19 October, 2000

And finally, a missionary couple is working to bring the Word of God to the deaf in Japan. Mark and Mary Esther Penner with CBInternational are producing a video translation of the Bible in Japanese sign language. Many people believe since deaf people can see they don't have trouble reading scripture. But they do, because they have trouble sounding out words they've never heard. The Penners say this translation brings scripture to life for many deaf people, which will point many to the Savior.
