Story number 5 for 23 Oct 2000

Posted: 23 October, 2000

And, CBN News is reporting on recent events surrounding a series of Christian meetings. An evangelist in South Africa became a target for thieves the night before he was scheduled to open a Gospel crusade. Evangelist J.P. Scharnik was handing out flyers in a squatter camp when he was attacked by three men brandishing knives. Although his wallet and cell phone were stolen, Scharnik was unharmed and went ahead with the meetings as planned. Please pray that the Gospel finds ready hearts.
