GMI missionaries in Costa Rica seek to plant a church there, as well as expand their ministry to Nicaragua.
Nicaragua (MNN) ― Grace Ministries International is looking to expand their ministry into a new country: Nicaragua.
Recently, Jeremy Clark, a GMI missionary to Costa Rica, led a team of 11 individuals into Costa Rica's neighboring country, Nicaragua, for a total of nine days. There they saw God work as they shared the Gospel.
"A number of people trusted in Christ, and many seeds of the Gospel were planted," according to GMI's Web site.
As a church and field, the GMI missionaries in Costa Rica want to begin full-time ministry in Nicaragua by the year 2012.
So far, Clark, who heads up the Nicaragua field mission efforts, has led two teams into the country in the last two years. Aside from his work with Nicaragua, Clark and his wife lead the young adult ministry in their church in Costa Rica, as well as host mission teams visiting the area.
Chuck and Joy Befus and Elnora Befus are also aiding in GMI's work in Costa Rica. Their ministries include church planting across Costa Rica and the recent work in Nicaragua. Additionally, a Grace Bible Institute was started there in January of 2006. The goal of this institute "is to train the next generation of pastors, lay leaders and missionaries," GMI's Web site stated.
This team is excited to see God working in Costa Rica as they expand their ministry there and into Nicaragua.
Pray for wisdom and guidance in these individuals' lives as they seek to expand GMI's ministry and ultimately Christ's kingdom.
