Help Haiti with Compassion is an effort to raise money for relief and hope and to help keep ministry moving forward in the name of Christ (CMP graphic).

Haiti (MNN) ― Today, Mission Network News' own Greg Yoder is heading down to Haiti for a firsthand look at the disaster and recovery efforts in Port-au-Prince.

Initially departing from Gerald R. Ford Airport in Grand Rapids, Mich., Yoder will fly into the Dominican Republic on Friday night. There he will connect with Compassion International staff. On Saturday they will drive to Haiti.

On Monday, Yoder, Compassion staff, and U.S. radio stations will "Help Haiti with Compassion" -- a partnership to raise money for Haitian relief and hope, and to keep the ministry moving forward in Christ's name.

Throughout the trip, Yoder will send reports of what God is doing through compassionate individuals on the ground.

He will return to the U.S. by Wednesday night. Pray for his safety throughout the trip.
