Elsewhere, SIM credits prayer and fasting with a peaceful end to a prison protest in Paraguay. Conditions at the Tacumbu prison are bad and medical care rare. When the inmates went on a hunger strike to protest the conditions, the prison chaplain joined them. However, he preached to the 1,600 protesters, led them in several songs, and ended with prayer for all parties involved in the negotiations. The two sides soon announced an agreement; please pray for the continued ministry inside the prison.
