Meanwhile, Back to the Bible is working in partnership with HCJB World Radio to put Christian Turkmen programs on the air in 2001. Programs are being prepared that will air to Turkmenistan from outside the country. Turkmen is part of the "World by Radio" cooperative effort to make gospel broadcasts available in all the world's major languages, those with at least one million speakers. Since the religion laws were amended in 1996, Christians have been increasingly deported or harassed.
