Story number 3 for 5 Dec 2000

Christians are being asked to pray for a conference that could have a significant impact on the Gypsy people in Eastern Europe. Worldwide Christian Schools is hosting a conference in March. Worldwide's Dale Dieleman. "This is kind of a groundbreaking conference for and of teachers, primarily in Hungary, Romania and the Ukraine. A conference for teachers to more effectively appreciate, understand, and communicate with the Gypsy population." Dieleman says the conference will help teachers deal with a prejudice that exists. He says it's a stepping stone for evangelism. "That will be, we hope, a fall-out from this. Even to get these teachers together to encourage them to look at the Gypsy population as a group to be reached is a developing concept among the churches."
