Haiti (MNN) ― It's easy to grow discouraged by how little progress seems to have been made in Haiti over the past seven months.
The landscape still lies in shambles; tent cities are still a constant site; and temporary houses are just beginning to pop up.
However, Childcare Worldwide (CCW) is focusing on the one thing that has seen dramatic change--the spiritual climate.
Since the earthquake struck, CCW Haiti Director Mendelson Cesar has held evangelistic meetings on a regular basis. Just recently, 62 people dedicated their lives to Christ, which brings the number of people Cesar has seen come to Christ in the past months to almost 600.
Additionally, as Childcare Worldwide continues their feeding program--giving lunch to school children and much-needed nutrition to refugees, they not only meet Haitians' physical hunger but also their spiritual hunger. This act of love serves as a testimony to Christ's desire to know each and every person and to sustain their needs.
