The Associated Press reports that Afghanistan's Taliban rulers have imposed the death penalty for anyone who converts from Islam to another religion. The Taliban's supreme leader said Christians and Jews in Afghanistan are trying to win Muslims to their faiths by criticizing the Taliban's strict interpretation of Islamic law. The Taliban rules about 95 percent of Afghanistan and has made traditional evangelism in the country very difficult, if not impossible.
