Next, Hindu pilgrims are swarming to the Ganges river in India as the "Grand Pitcher Festival" began earlier this week. The festival, held once every 12 years, is expected to see more than 70 million people gather in to bathe in the sacred rivers, hoping for the answering of prayers and the granting of blessings. The International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention is asking believers to pray for open doors and freedom from fear for all those involved in sharing the Gospel at the festival, including the IMB ministry teams.
