While it's difficult for missionaries to get into India, Radio is having a great impact on the country that's dominated by Hinduism. Trans World Radio broadcasts Christian programming from Sri Lanka. TWR's Richard Greene says since their 400-thousand watt transmitter was commissioned a year ago, many people have responded. "Over the past year more than one-million letters have flooded Trans World Radio's offices throughout the country of India. And, more than 60 churches have been formed as a result of those broadcasts." Greene says God has had His hand on their work because transmitting to India isn't easy, especially now. "From the Island nation of Sri Lanka which has not known peace for the last 17 years because of civil war, and yet coming from that country is the message of faith in the Prince of Peace."
