Next, the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association reports that an estimated 300,000 Christians turned out to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Nicaragua\'s first evangelical congregation. Thousands of people committed their lives to Christ during this gathering. Luis Palau had last visited Nicaragua in 1975 for a three-week crusade in Managua. During the anniversary visit, Palau also met with the country\'s president and spoke at a prayer breakfast with top government officials.
