Next, Open Doors reports that the Colombian war has claimed over 100,000 civilian lives in the last 10 years. In this atmosphere, Colombian Christians are under severe threat, and there is evidence of the growing presence of satanic groups bent on destroying the Christian church. Because of this, Open Doors is calling for a worldwide day of prayer and fasting for Colombia on Saturday, July 28, 2001. On that day, Christians worldwide are asked to pray that God would shed His light and peace on that nation.
