Story number 3 for 30 Aug 2002

Posted: 30 August, 2002

African media reports indicate Muslims and Christians in the northern Nigerian state of Kaduna have signed a peace pact to end violent clashes which have claimed thousands of lives in the past three years. Sectarian rioting broke out following plans by the state government to introduce Islamic law. Nigeria is divided almost evenly into a largely Muslim north and non-Muslim south. Please pray that the accord holds, as that could open doors for more outreach in the future.
