International (MNN) ― While Christian literature is a great need in second and third world nations, a ministry has a goal of establishing libraries for pastors in these nations.
Christian Resources International is a ministry that exists to evangelize the world by distributing free Christian literature to spiritually-needy people. CRI's Bryon Morgan says, "We here at CRI have begun to put together these identical sets of language specific libraries. Right now we have them in English and Spanish. We're also focusing hopefully, in the near future, on French, Arabic and Russia."
Morgan says a great number of mission organizations and church are requesting the libraries. He says they don't have the money to fulfill all the requests. "We're asking churches if they would be willing to sponsor one of these libraries at $100 each for a pastor overseas," says Morgan. He says he'd like to see 10,000 get involved. "If they each sponsored one library for a pastor overseas the affect would be incredible," because pastors dont get the training they need.
It's a project, Morgan says can be a part of small groups in churches. "We're having AWANA groups, and VBS groups each sponsor these pastoral libraries. Small groups, some Bible studies," are also participating.
Each library has commentaries, concordances, Bible dictionaries, a couple different versions of the Bible. Morgan says it offers, "basically, anything a pastor would need to spiritually feed his flock."
