Missionaries beaten for sharing Christ in India.

Posted: 29 November, 2004

India (MNN/GFA) ― A missionary evangelism team in India was beaten as they were reaching out with the love of Christ.
Laboring to reach souls in an area of Orissa, India, Gospel For Asia missionary Sandeep leads a mobile team that travels from village to village, telling others about Jesus and helping to plant churches among the unreached. In one village, enemies of the Gospel attacked the team members, beating them very badly. By God's intervention, their lives were spared.
Sandeep and his team could have given up. Instead, Sandeep reports, they began to pray fervently for the village. Today they pray that God will soften the hearts of the very men who opposed them. And that's not all -- they regularly go back to share the Good News among those who persecuted them.
Pray that these faithful Gospel workers will lead many to the feet of Jesus. Your prayers will make such a difference in the lives of these missionaries and the souls they are laboring to reach.
Funding is also needed to help support these evangelists.
