Story number 4 for 26 Jun 2000

Posted: 26 June, 2000

Elsewhere, Baptist World Alliance reports that G. Samuel, pastor of a large church in South India, has joined the protest over the violence against Christians. Speaking for the All India Christian Council, Samuel told the Indian Prime Minister that the Council expected the governments to uphold the religious freedom guaranteed by their Constitution. He noted concern that authorities have failed to see the anti-Christian environment that now exists in Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Gujarat, Haryana and other states. Please pray for believers in these areas.
