Moldova (MNN) ― The out of tune singing and the smell of food greet you as you enter a facility owned by Little Samaritan Mission. This part of the building is home of their soup kitchen ministry in Chisinau, Moldova, where they serve approximately 250 of the poorest adults in the area. The soup kitchen also provides basic medical care for these needy people.
This provides the backdrop for an incredible ministry to the poor of all ages.
Mission Network News visited the soup kitchen recently and noticed an amazing thing. Before they get their lunch they sing Christian songs and read portions of Scripture. This soup kitchen has now turned into a church family as a few of these adults have come to Christ. Now, many of them meet for Bible study.
Because of lack of funding, Little Samaritan was forced to delay opening the soup kitchen this year, and funding is still needed. It only costs $1 to feed an adult for an entire day. As you help feed them physically, you're also helping to feed them spiritually as God's Word is read at each meal.
