USA (MNN) ― Latin Americans are now the largest minority group in the U-S.
Between 1990 and 2004, the Spanish-speaking population nearly doubled from 22 million to more than 41 million, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
So it's no surprise that the Bible League's ministry to the U.S. Hispanic population is seeing growth. Since its inception two years ago, more than 8,400 people throughout the United States completed discipleship Bible studies for Spanish speakers.
The Bible League teaches Hispanic church members how to take spiritually-seeking people through Bible studies and lead them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
More than 100 Hispanic churches in the United States are now using these discipleship programs. With the success in those, there's been a growing demand for the Bible League's program in other parts of the country.
As a result, additional training sites for pastors in the Atlanta, Seattle, and McAllen, TX areas have been added to those in and around Chicago, Los Angeles, and Miami.
