Word came at the tail end of a training conference for more than 20,000 Korean pastors in South Korea. During the course of the conference, he challenged churches of all denominations to work and pray for a third wave of revival across the Korean peninsula.
He says the Korean church is a model of innovation for congregations in other countries--particularly in the missions' movement. Secondarily, he wanted to encourage Korean churches of all denominations to work together.
He also encouraged business and government leaders to value and cooperate with the church in solving humanitarian issues. And, he stressed that he came with a vision for evangelism--the purpose of which is to bring new life for people.
Once Warren's team was informed of the dely, they were assured the invitation stands for Dr. Warren to speak at the first outdoor Christian event in North Korea since 1945. It's in conjunction with the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Pyongyang Revival in March 2007.
Dr. Warren remains in Asia for the next two weeks, continuing a 35-day tour of 13 countries.
