USA (MNN) ― The Disability Ministry Summit, an outreach of Joni and Friends church training program, Through the Roof, just wrapped up.
Hosted at the First Church of the Nazarene in Pasadena, California, 109 groups participated. Many churches are finding that they are not prepared to share the hope of Christ with the disability community.
The goal: to help advocates find support and tools to better meet the needs of the disabled in their communities. The team is dedicated to supporting and equipping churches across the country and internationally.
Given that, the summit provided the perfect foundation for those who want to start a disability program in their church, allowing them to benefit from an experienced advocate.
Joni and Friends works to effectively communicate the Gospel and equip churches to do the same as they disciple people affected by disability.
