International (MNN) ― For orphans and poor children in many poverty-stricken countries writing paper and pencils or pens are a luxury beyond reach.
Global Aid Network, or GAiN USA is currently collecting small packages of school supplies, called CarePacks.
Volunteers on Global Aid Network short-term mission trips who also share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ with each recipient deliver them.
To each CarePack GAiN teams will add a Gospel bead bracelet with a printed explanation, a translated copy of a children's Bible storybook and a book like Josh McDowell's More Than a Carpenter with the Gospel of John.
Thousands of CarePacks are needed every year to minister to orphans and schoolchildren in impoverished places like Belarus, Central Asia, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Western Russia, Siberia, Uganda, Ukraine, and Zimbabwe.
