The Southern Baptists are among those groups that continue to gather aid for the survivors of a trash dump that collapsed in Manila. Mission agencies have been partnering with local churches in the Philippines to distribute relief supplies to the victims who lost their makeshift homes in the dump. More than 200 people died and close to 500 families were left homeless when typhoon rains and wind toppled part of the mound July 18th. Missionaries say they plan to continue their relief efforts until the victims have been resettled in government housing.
