Meanwhile, Food for the Hungry's outreach, 'Hunger Corps', is working a new partnership with Neighborhood Ministries, an Arizona-based urban ministry. FH officials say that many of the challenges in Third World urban areas such as poverty, homelessness, street children, and crime, also exist in the United States. FH's shared vision with Neighborhood Ministries will help increase indigenous leaders and build up the local church. It's the first time Hunger Corps will be adding support staff in a domestic organization.
