International (MNN) — After one recent development, millions more people now have access to the Scriptures in their heart language.

Faith Comes By Hearing was recently able to add 89 more languages to their Bible.is app for the iPhone, iPad, iPad Touch, Android, and personal computer. Some of the new languages added include Vietnamese and Thai. Now, a total of 185 languages are available with the click of a "download" button anywhere in the world.

Faith Comes By Hearing has recordings of the New Testament in 525 languages. As the ministry continues to add more languages to their Bible.is app and makes more progress recording languages, more and more people will have easy access to the Bible.

Troy Carl with Faith Comes By Hearing points out that the number of people who could potentially be hearing the Gospel is enormous. If Carl's figures of two billion internet users and five billion cell phone subscribers worldwide are correct, potentially billions of people could have access to the Bible now.

Making use of this technology is a significant way to fulfill the Great Commission and bring the Good News to the masses with the living Word of God. Pray that many seekers would be made aware of this application and would come to faith by it. Pray that believers–especially those who do not have the literacy abilities or materials to read the Bible on their own–would grow exponentially in their faith as a result of having this application available.

If you have yet to download the Bible.is app, click here to do so. It costs about $25,596 to produce a recording of the New Testament. If you'd like to be a part of that, click here.
