Gospel takes off in rural Mozambique

Mozambique
(MNN) — Now that recording studios in Xai Xai, Mozambique are nearly complete,
plans are in the works for the September dedication celebration.

Even as
one part of the ministry focuses on physical growth, the other part was focused
on spiritual growth. A team from Audio Scripture Ministries traveled to the Zambezi river delta of central
Mozambique for an audio Bible distribution.

500 Sena New
Testament audio players–recently recorded at Crown of Victory Studio, ASM's partner in Mozambique–were distributed in a number of extremely
remote villages.

The
digital audio players are nearly always eagerly received. From
many of these distributions, listening clubs form to hear the Scriptures…and
that often leads to the plant of a small church.

A case in
point: in one village where 20 players
were distributed, five people came to Christ in one week after listening to His Word.

However, ministry
growth presents another challenge: help is needed to help nurture these new believers
in their faith. ASM leaders approved an additional missionary
position for assisting in Mozambique. They're
looking for someone who can dedicate at least two or three years to
discipleship.

Ask God to
guide the process of matching the right people with the specific needs of the
ministry. Keep praying that lives would
be changed from listening to the Scriptures.
