Internet evangelism day set for May

By March 13, 2006

International (MNN) — Christians who are using the Internet to lead people to Christ will have a day to promote what they’re doing on-line.

The Internet Evangelism Coalition will hold its annual Internet Evangelism Day Sunday, May 7, in an effort to encourage witnessing online with more than 1 billion Web users worldwide.

Downloadable promotional materials and resources are available at www.ied.gospelcom.net, including five-minute video testimonies from people who found Christ online, discussion questions, drama scripts, PowerPoint presentations and helpful links.

With over a billion people using the web, internet evangelism can be the entry point for people coming to Christ.

The IE Day team hopes for a range of outcomes. High on their list is that churches will create effective websites which can reach out into the community, rather than just be an online noticeboard for members.
