Muslims in Kenya are hearing the Gospel from an American evangelist

By January 16, 2006

Kenya (MNN) — An American evangelist is kicking off his first international outreach for 2006 in Africa. Sammy Tippit is in Kenya, but he’s ministering to a special group of people.

After arriving in Nairobi, Tippit traveled to an area of the country where there are thousands of refugees from Somalia. He says almost all of them are from Muslim background.

Tippit says this is only possible because of his on-going ministry in the region. He says, “A couple of years ago, one of their leaders came to know Christ by listening to one of our broadcasts.” He’s asking Christians to pray that many Somalians would respond to the Gospel.”

Tippit and his team will be holding a pastors’ conference for pastors in the region.
Pray that there will be revival among these leaders.
