Prayer urgently needed for Eritrea

Eritrea (MNN) — Persecution may be on the rise in Eritrea. Voice of the Martyrs, Canada says most of it appears to be coming from the government itself.

VOM released a statement describing the situation as “alarming” and won’t go into detail for security reasons. The group is urging prayers for believers in the country slightly larger then Pennsylvania. Eritrea has long been known for its persecution of Christians, even using torture techniques on young students for simply carrying Bibles.
