Syria (MNN) — With more than 70,000 dead in Syria's civil war, and the nation spiraling out of control, Russia and the Arab League offered their help. Officials announced Wednesday that the two hope to broker talks between the Syrian government and the opposition, to end the country's two-year civil war.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Russia and the Arab League are attempting to establish direct contact between the two sides of the conflict.

Global Aid Network (GAIN USA) is assisting those who have been forced from their homes and are now refugees.

YOU can bring hope to a Syrian family. $40 provides a Survival Pack: enough food to feed a family of five for one month. And when you provide food, you help GAIN partners provide emotional and spiritual hope.

GAIN USA reports that the food their providing is giving Hope to people like "Rouba" who was forced to flee her home with her family, including her one-year-old daughter. Rouba shared: "You have taken time to come to my home, to listen to my story, and hold my hand while I cried. I feel more encouraged…like I have been seen and not forgotten."

GAIN USA is partnering with Josh McDowell Ministries to provide aid to those in need in Jesus' name. If you'd like to help, click here.
