(Afghanistan)–Headlining today’s news, a Christian relief agency is providing assistance to refugees in and around Afghanistan. Operation Blessing International is partnering with Food for the Hungry. OBI’s Dick Kohl. “We’re going to be shipping tents and warm winter clothing along with food into those regions. We’ve been blessed by having an organization donate some tents and another company is donating time to manufacture tents where we purchase the materials. So, we’ll be able to send tents that a family can actually winter in over in Afghanistan.” Kohl says 45-dollars can send a tent, while 11-dollars can provide clothing. He says many people ask why they’re helping. “We tell them because this is what the Lord has asked us to do. We believe that this is the mission that we as Christians have is to help those who are in need of help. In some countries of the world that is accepted, in other countries you get a very blank stare. People can’t understand why you would do something to help them.”
