(USA)–We begin today in the United States where spies are having an impact on evangelical missionary work in countries closed to the Gospel. A spokesman for a U-S based mission organization, we’ll call Andre, says Hindus and Muslims are spying for their respective countries. “They have people right here in America who are actually monitoring Christian radio/television, Christian publications and even secular publications to get the names of people who are working in their own particular country.” Andre says those reports are putting the lives and work of missionaries at risk. He says U-S Christians need to be careful about how they talk to foreigners. “We need to make friends with them, build relationships with them and seek to lead them to Christ. But, do not under any circumstances let them know of people we know that are working in other countries.”
