Story number 2 for 24 Jul 2003

(Liberia)–Next, humanitarian aid groups view the latest hostilities in Liberia with frustration. With security virtually non-existent in the capital city, Monrovia, emergency supply distribution slows down to a crawl. The supplies, such as food and blankets, are there, but lead relief workers are not. World Vision’s Eleanor Monbiot was evacuated earlier this week to Sierra Leone from the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia after fighting intensified. Please pray for the team members as the meet the physical and spiritual needs of the Liberians.
