Story number 4 for 15 Jun 2001

(India)–Next, questions remain about damage to a church and an orphanage in India operated by Hopegivers International. Hopegivers, a sister ministry of Bible Pathway Ministries, serves some two dozen orphans in the state of Andhra Pradesh. According to Bible Pathway officials, the two buildings burned to the ground earlier this week. Radical Hindus may be responsible as they threatened the group recently. While no one was injured in the blaze, everything was destroyed and the children are now living under a tree.
