Story number 4 for 5 Sep 2001

By September 5, 2001

(Colombia)–In our next story, we follow-up the work of the Gospel in Colombia with Book of Hope’s John Young. He says it seems like the door is opening up for ministry in the country, adding they’re excited about the potential of evangelistic outreach. “In September and October of this year, we have some teams going down in there that are working with our directors in there. So, really pray that it would be successful, that people would really come to the Lord that we’d have a great openness in the schools with the Book of Hope.” Young asks believers to pray for the safety of the teams. He explains BOH’s concerns. “Preaching the Gospel has not been the safest thing to do in the past, because the enemy doesn’t want it to happen. Colombia represents so much of the drug trade here in the United States, and people who come to the Lord, come out of drugs.” Young says that as a precursor to the fall trips, BOH held an evangelistic outreach in the early spring. Many seeds were planted. Please pray for new believers in Colombia.
