(USA)–And, state and federal budget cuts have cut deeply into the ranks of prison and jail chaplains. Crossroads Bible Institute reports that some prison leaders believe the backlash of the cuts could lead to lower prisoner morale and slower spiritual growth among Christians. However, because of the crisis, prison chaplains are looking to Crossroad Bible Institute for help. With the reduction of chaplains, the Institute’s correspondence program is likely to become even more important for inmate discipleship
