Violence in India postpones a seminary graduation.

By February 28, 2006

India (MNN)–A Hopegivers International book stand, church and school were recently destroyed in the Kota District of Rajasthan State.

Voice of the Martyrs Canada says the violence postponed annual graduation ceremonies of the Emmanuel Theological Seminary.

Coordinated attacks from anti-social elements have also occurred in other areas of Rajasthan in the last week at Sojat and Udaipur.

While there’s been no word on the rescheduled ceremonies, others took place. HGI graduated some 10,000 students from the seminary in safer locations in Angamali, Kerala and Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh.

Hopegivers International President Dr. Samuel Thomas has issued a call to prayer asking believers around the world to especially pray for peace and freedom in India throughout February and March.
