World Vision wheels its relief to America’s south

By September 8, 2005

USA (MNN) — Truckloads of World Vision emergency relief supplies and other products are on their way to Hurricane Katrina stricken areas. World Vision, a Christian relief and development agency, is known for its fast moving relief efforts when disaster strikes.

The supplies are being sent from three warehouses around the United States to warehouses in Dallas and Houston where many of the displaced families are being relocated.

Nearly all the supplies have been donated by generous corporations and because of people’s donations. Goods will be distributed through a network of local churches, faith-base organizations and other partners.

Motivated by their faith in Christ, World Vision serves the poor and needy as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people. Pray that as a result of their help, many will begin asking spiritual questions and that many will turn to Christ.
