Special clean-up operations help kids get to summer camp in the U-S.

USA (MNN)–Young Life’s annual Operation Clean-up took place in East Central Minnesota recently.

A local chapter, made up of almost 20 Young Life and Wyld Life kids and their leaders, spent four-plus hours picking up trash along the roadways, earning money toward summer camp.

Staff and local supporters annually help the kids raise nearly $10,000 toward their summer trips. Among the community projects is the annual Operation Clean-up.

For 35 years, Young Life and Wyld Life leaders have been building nurturing relationships with young people in the Cambridge-Isanti area and providing a platform to the hope of Christ with them.

This style of relational, incarnational ministry crosses cultures effectively. Trust is built with teens, and the love of Jesus Christ is communicated in culturally relevant and understandable ways.
