Its mission is to make the Gospel available to all in the MENA, and to support the Church in its life, work and witness for Christ. TWR

By |

TWR (also known as Trans World Radio) was founded in 1952 by Dr. Paul E. Freed. Broadcasts began in 1954.

TWR provides programming in more than 275 languages and dialects from 20+ high-power transmitting sites. Using radio, the internet, cellphones, video and other media, the ministry helps the Church fulfill its mission of leading people around the world to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

The ministry’s global operations comprise regional offices, national partners, transmitting stations and specialized ministries. TWR’s calling is to reach the world for Christ by mass media so that lasting fruit is produced.

While listener responses vary annually, TWR is blessed to receive roughly three-quarters of a million responses from people in 160 countries.

TWR crosses geographic, political, religious, and educational barriers – oftentimes in places inaccessible to missionaries or where open evangelism is risky, restricted, or banned.

TWR adheres to meticulous standards of responsible stewardship and integrity set by the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability (ECFA).
