Brazil (MNN)–In the rural central Brazilian state of Goias, there sits a city of 17,000.

There is only one small evangelical church in the region, but they have a passion for evangelism. The church put together a team of 20 for a Book of Hope distribution. The group was eager for training in how to use the Book of Hope to tell children about Jesus.

Once they were released, they placed the book into the hands of every schoolchild in the city. At least 70% of the teachers said they would be using the Book of Hope as part of their school curriculum.

They also went to the hospitals and prisons with God’s Word for children and youth, and they shared the good news with street kids who don’t attend school.

Already, new believers are being discipled in Goias Christian Church. The team is getting ready to do other distributions in neighboring cities. Pray that God’s Word will continue to spread throughout rural Brazil.
