China (MNN) — Christians around the world are thanking God for answered prayer in connection with a Chinese house church member.

According to Asia Harvest, Deborah Xu was arrested January 25th in Nanyang, Henan Province. Paul, with Asia Harvest, says they just received word that Xu has been released from prison and is now under house arrest. It’s unclear how long she’ll be under house arrest, the same house where she was arrested.

While coworkers have spoken with her briefly, her physical and mental health are unknown.

Xu’s brother, Peter, is the founder of one of the largest house church networks in China. He’s been concerned about his sister since her arrest He’s thanking many Christians around the world who have prayed for her these past eight weeks.

As the unregistered house church movement continues to grow, many believe more arrests could be made.
