Turkmenistan (MNN)–The Greater Grace Protestant Church is now able to legally meet at a hall in a geological institution. The building is in the capital of Turkmenistan. It took the congregation over a year to gain government registration.
However, Voice of the Martyrs’ Canada says their sources(Forum 18) report the church was able to only meet four times before they received notice that their rental contract was terminated. They were also barred from renting any state-owned facility.
Church members intend to appeal the decision to the
Justice Ministry. So far, city officials won’t give any statement in writing about the ouster, but insist that the church cannot meet any longer in the hall.
Pray that the appeal will be a success and that they will be able to rent a building and worship freely. Also, lift up the pastor and ask God to give direction in leading the congregation to continued spiritual growth.
