A mission agency announces neat kids’ project this year.

Congo-Kinshasa (MNN)–The Evangelical Free Church Mission has designated this years’ Kids Project as “Send a Jeep to Congo.”

This project can be used for Vacation Bible School, Sunday School or simply as a kids project. It’s a means of getting children involved early in the world of missions.
They will work toward raising funds for a typical project, slated at $8,000. The vehicle will serve missionaries in areas of remote access who will be able to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle for field work.

The story begins in 1997 when EFCA personnel, on home assignment from Africa, found out about the availability of Vietnam era jeep parts.

By 1999, they had a storage facility, requests from the field and funding to kick-off the project. The first jeep, Alpha I, was constructed as the prototype of the Alpha series.

Each jeep is adopted by a church for use in a specific field for a specific missionary. If you’d like to get involved, go to: https://www.efca.org/international/kids/vbs.html.
